Indian FM reaffirms desire to remain in close touch with SL

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar states that he agreed to remain in close touch with Sri Lanka in a conversation with the Minister of Finance, Basil Rajapaksa. The Minister of Finance is due to present the 2022 Budget at the Parliament tomorrow (12). Dr. Jaishankar most recently met with the Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris at the sidelines of the United Nations' General Assembly held this year and paid a visit to Sri Lanka in January, where he discussed varying matters such as the East Container Terminal, LNG Power Plants, Housing and Road, Agriculture Development and Research, Communication Technology, and Renewable Energy with the President. https://twitter.com/DrSJaishankar/status/1458336171700809733
