Indian Army Chief to observe 'Mitra Shakthi' today

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army (COAS) General Manoj Mukund Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC, who is in Sri Lanka on a five-day goodwill visit, is scheduled to attend the final demonstration of the ongoing Indo-Sri Lanka bilateral military exercise ‘Mitra Shakti’. Commander of Army General Shavendra Silva said the visiting Indian Army Chief will grace the Gajaba Regiment Regimental Day commemorative ceremonials at Saliyapura as well. He is also due to be honoured in a parade before he joins the presentation of driving and firing simulators to the School of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps at Anuradhapura and witnesses the final demonstration of the ongoing bilateral Exercise ‘Mitra Shakti’ at Maduru Oya Special Forces Training School.
