Tuesday's (5) Power-Cut NOT an act of Sabotage - Ministry of Power

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Power says that Tuesday's (5) power outage reported in several parts of the country was not an act of sabotage.

Secretary to the Ministry of Power, Wasantha Perera said the power outage was revealed to have been triggered by a lightning strike on the transmission system.

According to the Ministry of Power, the power outage was reported at around 11:45 am yesterday, in the Western and Southern provinces.

However, the system was restored at around 12:15 pm.
