Key suspect in Child Pornography operation arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested a suspect on Friday (06) for uploading pornographic content on children. The suspect was arrested by the Police Children and Women Bureau following investigations carried out by the special unit established to monitor such content uploaded from Sri Lanka. 'The suspect is one of the main perpetrators involved in this act and he was moved to Colombo to be produced in court,' said Police Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana. He said if one person received such content one must not share or distribute it, as it is against the law. In addition, three police teams are working on tracing other people involved in such activity in order to arrest them.
