COLOMBO (News 1st); Several people staged a protest in Wellarawa, Bingiriya on Monday (26) claiming their lives are at risk following the detection of COVID-19 cases from a private apparel factory in the area.

The group obstructed the road leading to the apparel factory to prevent staff transport buses from entering the areas.

Sri Lanka Police and the Riot Police were called in to control the situation.
