Controversial dam in Sinharaja demolished

COLOMBO (News1st): Steps were taken to demolish the dam constructed by obstructing a natural waterway of the Sinharaja forest after it stirred massive controversy.
Instructions had been issued to demolish the construction, Central Environmental Authority Chairman Siripala Amarasinghe told News1st.
He said that the Kalawana Pradeshiya Saba was ordered to demolish all illegal constructions in the area.
