Prime Minister pays homage to the Temple of the Tooth

Colombo (News 1st): Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa paid homage to the temple of the sacred tooth yesterday (19th). The Prime Minister was welcomed by the lay custodian of the temple of the tooth, Pradeep Nilanga Dala. He later called on the Mahanayake of the Malwathu Chapter Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero. The Prime Minister also called on the Anunayakes of the Malwathu Chapter Ven. Dimbulkumbure Sri Saranankara Wimaladhamma thero, and Ven. Niyangoda WIjithasiri Thero. Subsequently, the Prime Minister visited the Asgiri Maha Viharaya and called on the Maha Nayake Most Ven. Warakagoda Gnarathana Thero. The Prime Minister also met with the Anunayake of the Asgiri Chapter Ven. Vendaruwe Upali Thero. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa then visited the Asgiri Maha Pirivena and called on the Pirivenadhipathi and Deputy Lekakadikari of the Asgiri Chapter, Sharsthrapathi Narampanawe Ananda Thero.
