AYURVEDA MEDICINE TO SCHOOL CURRICULUM

COLOMBO (News 1st): The State Ministry of Indigenous Medicine Promotion, Rural and Ayurvedic Hospitals Development and Community Health has decided to provide school students with an understanding of Ayurvedic medicine. Plans are in place to include Sri Lankan Ayurvedic Medicine in the school curriculum, Kumari Weerasekera, the Secretary to the State Ministry said on Wednesday (Jan. 20). This series of Ayurvedic Medicine lessons is intended for higher grades, Weerasekara further noted. According to Ministry Secretary Kumari Weerasekera, discussions in this regard were already held with the Ministry of Education.
