COVID-19 death toll in Sri Lanka rises to 96, with 02 deaths confirmed on Wednesday (25)

Colombo (News 1st);  02 COVID-19 deaths were confirmed on Wednesday (25), raising Sri Lanka's COVID-19 death toll to 96, said the Director General of Health Services.

The details of the two people who died of COVID-19 are as follows :

01. A 45-year-old female from Colombo 12 who passed away on the 23rd of November at the National Hospital in Colombo. The cause of death was ruled as COVID-19 infection resulting in High Blood Pressure.

02. An 80-year-old male from Pannipitiya. He was identified as a COVID-19 infected person at the Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital and was transferred to the Pimbura Base Hospital where he passed away on the 25th of November. The cause of death was ruled as liver failure exacerbated by COVID-19 infection.
