Cabinet nod to present 2021 appropriation bill

COLOMBO (News1st): Cabinet approval has been granted to present the appropriation bill for 2021 with an estimated state expenditure of Rs 4.9 trillion. The recurrent expenditure has been estimated at Rs 2.6 trillion while capital expenditure will stand at Rs 1.1 trillion. The Appropriation Bill that includes these expenditure estimates and borrowing limits is due to be tabled in Parliament next month. The cabinet has also approved two supplementary estimates for 2020 to be presented in Parliament as well.
