25 navy officers complete quarantine in Boossa

COLOMBO (News1st): Twenty-five navy officers have left the quarantine centre in Boossa after completing the 14-day quarantine period, the Navy said. At least 84 individuals are currently undergoing quarantine at the Boossa centre that is managed by the Navy. A total of 249 individuals have left the centre after completing the quarantine period, according to the Navy. Sri Lankan health authorities have identified two clusters of the virus that include navy personnel and expatriates who have returned to the country. At least 844 navy personnel have contracted the virus, according to the health ministry, accounting for 46.9 percent of the total cases which stands at 1797. Official figures show that 555 people who returned from overseas are also among the total patients.
