Met. Dept. predicts thundershowers in the country

COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lanka's meteorological department has alerted the public of thundershowers after 2 pm on Thursday. The Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern provinces, and North-western provinces and the Anuradhapura district can receive up to three inches of rainfall, the department predicted. The department, in an advisory, also cautioned that temporarily strong gusty winds between 70 and 80 kmph could be experienced along with rough seas during thundershowers in Sri Lankan waters.
