Self-quarantine mandatory for those who arrived between 1st March to 9th March

COLOMBO (News 1st): The government said all those who arrived in the country, between 1st March to 9th March, from high risk zone of countries where COVID-19 had spread, must undergo self-quarantine.

"Steps are underway to obtain information regarding such passengers from the Department of Immigration and Emigration," said Jayanath Colombage, Additional Secretary to the President. According to Colombage, follow-ups regarding such passengers will be conducted by the respective Public Health Inspectors. Furthermore, Director General of Health Services, Dr. Anil Jasinghe said 4,405 comprised of 2,769 Sri Lankans and 1,120 Chinese nationals are under the observation of PHIs.
