Lasantha Alagiyawanna re-appointed COPA Chairman

Colombo (News 1st) - UPFA MP Lasantha Alagiyawanna was unanimously re-appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) in Parliament on Friday (Feb 7). Alagiyawanna was the COPA chairman prior to the prorogation of Parliament on the 02nd of December 2019. MP Alagiyawanna’s name was proposed by MP Udaya Gammanpila and was seconded by MP Chandima Weerakkody. COPA members Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi, Duminda Dissanayake and Chandima Weerakkody, Udaya Gammanpila, Seyed Ali Zahir Moulana, (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa and Wijepala Hettiarachchi were present at the committee meeting held today.
