President and the PM acknowledges SLFP’s support: Mahinda Amaraweera

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister Mahinda Amaraweera was questioned by journalists regarding the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna joining together. Journalist: Will you be contesting the upcoming election under an alliance? Under a single symbol? Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Passenger Transport Management stated that they expect to contest under the Sri Lanka Freedom Podujana Alliance. Journalist: Are you not seeing a situation where your party is being neglected at the village level? Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Passenger Transport Management noted that apparently there are certain individuals at the village level who have forgotten what they have done for them. He went on to note that there are several village-level politicians who have forgotten this and the President and the Prime Minister are very clear on the sacrifices that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party made. The Minister expressed these views at an event to distribute uniform material to the students of a Dhamma school in Angunakolapelessa.
