Mahinda Rajapaksa: 24th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka

Colombo (News 1st): Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa was sworn in this afternoon as the 24th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. He was sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat. Former President Maithripala Sirisena, UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and a number of other politicians as well as dignitaries were present at the occasion. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to assume duties in his new capacity at 3 PM today (November 21).
