JVP challenges Gotabaya and Sajith for an open debate

Colombo (News 1st): Factions representing SLPP Candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa made several remarks regarding the invitation extended by Sajith Premadasa for an open debate. However today (October 25), the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna also challenged both candidates. Politburo member of the JVP Wasantha Samarasinghe noted that they instigated racial ideas for their own political gain and sometimes they make misleading promises. He added that they even say that they will provide everything for free for the citizens. He said therefore, they would like to invite both presidential candidates Sajith Premadasa and Gotabaya Rajapaksa to have an open debate with the alternative faction, presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Samarasinghe requested them to participate in an open debate so that they can openly discuss their perspectives of developing the nation through agriculture, education, road development and most importantly, the economy of the country.
