Railways to be declared an essential service

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Presidential Secretariat has directed the gazette which declares the railway service as an essential service to the Department of Government printing. The Head of the Department of Government printing, Ganga Kalpani Liyanage noted that the gazette is being processed for printing. She added that they plan to issue the extraordinary gazette imposing the Railway Service as an essential service into effect before midnight today(October 03).
