Complaints to Bribery Commission against 8 ministers on failing to declare assets

Colombo (News 1st) - Transparency International Sri Lanka filed a complaint at the Bribery Commission today (September 10) against 8 Ministers for their failure to submit asset declarations and sought legal action. Executive Director of TISL, Asoka Obeysekera stated that using the Right to Information Act, they had requested the Presidential Secretariat for the list of ministers who had filed their asset declaration as of June 30th, which is the date on which they are required to file their asset declarations.
