Colombo (News 1st) – A newly built Bhikkhu hostel at the Bodhiraja Viharaya in Ja-Ela was declared open yesterday (September 2).
The leader of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Mahinda Rajapaksa declared open the building. The Bhikkhu hostel has been built with the sponsorship of the Vihara Dayaka Sabha.
Speaking at the event, leader of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Mahinda Rajapaksa highlighted that the present political distortion created via the 19th Amendment to the constitution has created three power-centres. He added that one of it is being built whereas the two others are the President and Prime Minister who he claimed to be acting independently.
“However, the Prime Minister is now seeking to function in the same manner. The people are battered by this power struggle”, he continued.
