Leaders of the UNP's proposed alliance attend a decisive meeting

Colombo (News 1st): A meeting between the leaders of the United National Front (UNF) got underway today (August 27) at Temple Trees. The meeting chaired by UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe was attended by Deputy Leader of the United National Party Minister Sajith Premadasa. According to News 1st reporters on location, leaders of the political parties affiliated with the UNF were also present. Speaking to the media following the meeting Minister Sajith Premadasa noted that they discussed on how they could work together for the elections, and noted that discussions on naming the candidate will also take place in the future. He failed to respond to questions raised by journalists regarding the disciplinary hearings called against MPs who support him.
