Two burglars arrested at Kelaniya

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two suspects have been arrested near the Kelaniya railway station in connection to breaking into houses and stealing property in the area. The arrest was made by the Crimes Unit of the Peliyagoda police division. The police said that it was revealed the suspects had broken into houses in Kiribathgoda, Peliyagoda and Mirihana police divisions and robbed property from houses in these areas. Eight gold pellets and two gold rings were also seized from their possession. The suspects aged 28 and 47 have been identified as residents of Kelaniya. They are due to be produced before the Mahara and Nugegoda Magistrate Courts today (August 9).
