COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Meteorology forecasts that rainfall of around 75 – 100 mm could be experienced in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and the Galle and Matara districts.

The department further states that rainfall of around 50 mm could be experienced in the Uva and Eastern provinces. The public is urged to take necessary preventive measures from the heavy winds and the lightning that could occur in these areas.
