Professional Advisory Board on National Security appointed

Colombo (News 1st): President Maithripala Sirisena has taken steps to appoint a Professional Advisory Board on National Security. According to the President's Media Unit, the advisory board will be chaired by Dr Sarath Amunugama. Fellow members of the board include President's Counsel, Kalinga Indratissa and Nigel Hatch. Attorney Javed Yusuf, Professor Ram Manikkalingam and Professor Suren Raghavan. Adding further, the President's media unit said the Professional Advisory Board met for the first time this morning under the leadership of the President. There, the President had said that he is expecting this board of professionals to give their fullest support in the endeavour of ensuring National Security by expressing their undivided, independent views and suggestions.
