Close associate of Zahran arrested in Rasnayakapura

Colombo (News 1st): A 41-year-old Mowlavi from the Rasnayakapura area have been arrested for allegedly being trained and having had close contact with Mohamed Zahran. Police media spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted that he was arrested on July 1st by the Anti-Corruption Unit in Nikaweratiya. After being detained at the Rasnayakapura Police, the suspect has been handed over to the Terrorist Investigation Division yesterday (July 8). The TID has taken steps to further detain and interrogate the suspect.
