AG requests a tripartite bench for Ali Roshan's case

COLOMBO (News 1st): Attorney General in a special request from the Chief Justice has requested for the appointment of a tripartite bench to take up the case filed at Colombo High Courts against the infamous elephant trafficker Ali Roshan alias Niraj Roshan and eight other defendants. State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne stated that AG Dappula De Livera has notified the Chief Justice that the case is due to be filed against the defendants for illegally trafficking five elephants and earning a sum exceeding Rs. 30 million. The case is due to be filed under 36 indictments. Former Wild Life Assistant Director Upali Padmasiri is also among the eight defendants named in the case.
