High temperatures increase in most areas; thunderstorm in some areas

Colombo (News 1st): The Met Department issuing a Heat index Advisory for next three days says the temperature across many areas is likely to increase. It adds high temperatures can be experienced in most parts of North-Central and North-Western provinces and Hambantota, Moneragala, Gampaha, Mannar, Vavuniya and Mullaitivu Districts. The Met Department also issued a Severe Thunderstorm and Heavy Rainfall Advisory for the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces. It notes temporarily strong gusty winds up to 70-80 kmph are also possible during thundershowers.
