Mujibur Rahuman' statement on defeating budgets of President's ministries criticized

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Several persons commented on the statement by the UNP parliamentarian Mujibur Rahuman that steps will be taken to defeat the budget overheads of the ministries that come under the President's purview. Opposition Leader, Mahinda Rajapaksa noted that Ranil Wickremesinghe would not allow it to be defeated. Convener of the Voice of the People, Chandrasena Wijesinghe noted that the idea to defeat budget overheads was not Mujibur Rahuman's and it is Ranil Wickremesinghe's. He added that Ranil Wickremesinghe answers the calling of the foreign powers and through constitutional amendments wants to make the country unstable. Chief Minister of Western Province, Isura Devapriya noted that Mujibur Rahuman is keen to defeat Presidents' budget overhead as he and his accomplices are threatened by the President's drug eradication campaign. Convenor of the Voice Against Corruption, Wasantha Samarasinghe noted that a photo he received clearly depicted a connection between a person named Riskan, affiliated with infamous drug lord "Makandure Madush", and Ranil Wickremesinghe. He supported his opinion by adding that Ranil Wickremesinghe had the honour of cutting the ribbon of a new business venture opened in Wattala by Riskan. He also noted that Riskan also opened a taxi service which was opened by Mujibur Rahuman and the prime minister. Wasantha Samarasinghe boldly accused both these enterprises were fronts to launder money earned from into legit money.
