Report on cocaine using MPs to Prime Minister on the 25th

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The report of the committee appointed to investigate on the statement made by Ranjan Ramanayake stating that certain parliamentarians use cocaine is due to be submitted to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on February 25th. MP Professor Ashu Marasinghe, a committee member noted that State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake had revealed facts to support his statement before the committee when it convened at the parliamentary premises yesterday (February 22). The state minister had also revealed the Ministers connected to such acts. Further measures are due to be taken by the Prime Minister once the report is submitted. The committee appointed by the United National Party is headed by Minister Lakshman Kiriella. The committee members include State Minister Iran Wickremerathne, MP Ashu Marasinghe and Nissanka Nanayakkara.
