Dubai public prosecution to file charges against Amal Perera

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Attorney-at-law Shaabdika Wellappili said that the Dubai Public Prosecution is ready to file charges against singer Amal Perera and Nadeemal Perera. The lawyer said that the charges will be filed as soon as the medical reports of the two have been received. Meanwhile, the Police STF noted that investigations to identify associates who maintained close connections with notorious drug lord and underworld kingpin Makandure Madush and his accomplices will be continued. The STF added that more than six members attached to powerful underworld gangs have been arrested during such investigations. All investigations regarding Madush and his accomplices have been handed over to the CID.
