Bribery cases on the rise

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Within the last of 40 days seven suspects have been arrested in connection to bribery-related charges. Director General of the Bribery Commission, President's Counsel Sarath Jayamanne spoke to News 1st. He said that among the seven arrested were a divisional secretary, a school principal and two police officers. He added that this number is a significant increase in comparison to the year 2018.
