CID called to speed up investigation on parliament clash

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The CID has been informed to speed up investigations on the recent unruly behaviour displayed in parliament. Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri noted that the Speaker will take further action after analyzing the report prepared regarding the incident. BBC World News reported recently that the report presented to the speaker calls for action to be taken against 59 parliamentarians with regard to the clash that occurred in parliament on the 14th, 15th and 16th of November last year.
