Police OIC transfer suspended

Colombo (News 1st) - The order issued on the 4th of this month to transfer a number of OICs and other police personnel, has been suspended with immediate effect. Police spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that the transfers were temporarily suspended by the National Police Commission based on the recommendation of the Defense Secretary. Transfer orders were issued to 72  Polices OICs (24 Chief Inspectors and 45 IPs) on the 4th of this month based on the instructions of the IGP with approval from the National Police commission.
