Two suspects related to Rs. 2.7 Bn heroin haul remanded

Colombo (News 1st) - The two men who were arrested for transporting 231 kg of heroin in the seas off Beruwala were further remanded till the 20th of December. The suspects were produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today (Dec 12) The Police Narcotic Bureau arrested the suspects in an operation carried out with the assistance of the Police Special Task Force and the Sri Lanka Navy. The haul of heroin is valued at Rs. 2.778 Billion.
