Colombo (News 1st) – Although UPFA MPs were not present in Parliament today, Kumara Welgama made a sudden visit to the parliament.
When journalists grilled MP Welgama as to why he was in parliament he said that he was there to go to the bank.
MP Welgama on his way out from the bank spoke to the media and said that the people responsible for the downfall of the country are turning a blind eye to the matter. He stated that the country has economic issues and even during the tenure of UNP the economy collapsed.
He added that he never expected Sri Lanka to fall into this state and that this downfall will go down in history.
MP Welgama was questioned as to whether he was invited to be the common candidate for the election. To which he replied stating that, he will consider the offer with the blessings of Mahinda Rajapaksa.
