COLOMBO (News 1st): Patali Champika Ranawaka has said that a separate motion will be brought on November 29 to cut-off the Prime Minister's expense allocation. He said this at a press briefing held at Temple Trees today (November 26). "Why? Because there is no government today," he added. Ranawaka explained that financial control is under the parliament, as "there is no government". He said that the UNP will also act to cut the expenses of other ministers. Ranawaka also requested all law-abiding officials to act according to the orders of the Secretary of the Treasury. "We also ask Mahinda Rajapaksa to put aside this Prime Ministerial nonsense and to allow the majority to prevail. A suitable person must be made the Premier as per the majority in Parliament," he said.
