Prime Minister's Special Statement

Colombo (News1st): Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa requested everyone to join hands in defeat the forces that seek to destroy this country by perpetuating their rule without holding elections.

The Prime Minister made this request whilst making a special statement regarding the country's current situation.

He recalled that, after his appointment as the Prime Minister, several concessions were granted to the people under the interim government.
