Shots fired at the Kekirawa Pradeshiya Sabha building

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An unidentified group has opened fire at the Kekirawa Pradeshiya Sabha building. Chairman of the Kekirawa Pradeshiya Sabha, Sampath Herath has accused former UNP MP Chandima Mahinda Somagamage of carrying out the shooting. The chairman was also filed a complaint with the Kekirawa Police station. In the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that 4 shots had been fired using a revolver. When News 1st inquired from the former UNP MP Mahinda Chandima Somagamage about the incident he said that at present it is difficult to even display a cutout or banner in opposition of the present government.
