Section of the Katunayake expressway temporarily closed

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The section between the Peliyagoda interchange and the Kelaniya bridge of the Katunayake expressway will be closed until further notice. The decision was taken by the Road Development Authority which went into effect from last night (November 11) due to the construction of the new Kelani bridge. The Police stated that the entry of vehicles to the expressway through the Peliyagoda interchange has been temporarily halted. However, the police added that there will be no restriction for vehicles traveling along the Colombo Katunayake Expressway.
