Elephant dies in motor accident

Colombo (News1st): A wild elephant died last night (October 24) after it was knocked by a van in Mahamorakanda along the Habarana-Trincomalee road. The van was damaged, but no one was injured. Meanwhile, the report of the committee appointed to look into the wild elephant deaths along the rail routes will be handed over to Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva today (October 25).
