Vigneswaran forms a new party

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Chief Minister of the Northern Province C.V. Vigneswaran has announced the formation of a new party known as the Tamil People Alliance. The Northern Provincial Council held its final session yesterday (October 23) as its term comes to an end with effect from midnight tomorrow (October 25). The current NPC was appointed after the historic elections held in September 2013. Former Supreme Court Judge C.V. Vigneswaran was appointed as the Chief Minister of the NPC after the Tamil National Alliance won the election.
