Chinese investors have an opportunity to enter Indian market through Sri Lanka - Dep. Min. Buddika Pathirana

Colombo (News1st) - Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Buddhika Pathirana says that Chinese investors have an opportunity to tap into the Indian and Pakistani markets through Sri Lanka's free trade agreements. The Deputy Minister made these remarks at the South Asia Production Capacity Cooperation Dialogue which commenced in Chengdu, China on Monday (Sept 17). The event, organized by the Chengdu Municipal Commission of Commerce, together with the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, saw the participation of nearly 300 representatives from the South Asian region. Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Buddhika Pathirana represented Sri Lanka at the event. While inviting investors from the Sichuan province to invest in Sri Lanka, Deputy Minister Pathirana noted that the summit has helped strengthen the historic relationship between Sri Lanka and China.
