All Blacks and Wallabies reflect on first Rugby Championship clash

Reuters – The All Blacks’ pack were decisive in their 38-13 win at Sydney’s Olympic stadium on Saturday (August 18), reflecting after the match they weren’t 100 percent clinical but were happy.

Trailing 6-5 at half-time, the All Blacks ran over five tries after the break in a ruthless display of running rugby to show they remain the benchmark a year out from their World Cup title defence.

The only fly in the ointment was a head-knock to inside center Ryan Crotty, who was forced from the field in the first half after clashing with new midfield partner Jack Goodhue.

The second clash of the championship will take place on Saturday (August 25) at Auckland’s Eden Park stadium.
