Search operations continue to locate missing youth

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Search operations are continuing for the 2nd day to locate a missing person who went missing while bathing in the Deduru Oya in Chilaw. The individual in question, a 24-year-old resident of Aluthwatte, Negombo was reported missing at around 2pm yesterday (Aug 16th) According to the Police, the youth had been part of a group that had been returning from a pilgrimage to Madu. The search operations are being conducted by the Police with the assistance of the area residents.
