Dayasiri Jayasekera questioned by the CID

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - Former Minister, MP Dayasiri Jayasekera left the Criminal Investigations Department on Monday (June 11th) afternoon after providing a statement for close to 5 hours. MP Dayasiri Jayasekera arrived at the Criminal Investigations Department around 10am and left  at around 3.30pm after recording a statement. When inquired by News 1st, MP Jayasekera said a statement was recorded from him for allegedly accepting a sum 1 million rupees from Walt & Row Associates (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of Perpetual Treasuries Limited. The Parliamentarian said he was not summoned to appear before the CID again.
