Six arrested on charges of defrauding

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Six suspects have been arrested by the Terrorist Investigation Division in connection with defrauding people by promising them employment in England. The arrested suspects are residents of Kotahena and Vavuniya. According to police the suspects had defrauded Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Five such incidents have been reported thus far. People who paid the suspects were taken to Russia and then handed over to Russian police after their one month Visa had expired.
