COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) convened last night (April 24) and reached several decisions on the future of the party.
The Committee met at the President’s official residence at around 8 PM yesterday (April 24) the meeting lasted till around 10:30 PM. State Minister Shriyani Wijewickrama making a statement after the meeting said that discussions centered on strengthening the party and the government, as it was led by President Maithripala Sirisena.
Further, Former Deputy Minister Lalith Dissanayake expressing his views after the meeting stated that the committee also discussed the SLFP May Day Rally during the meeting. The May Day rally of the SLFP is scheduled to be held on the 7th of May.
