Yemen’s Houthi rebels have fired a ballistic missile at Riyadh. The missile was targeted at the Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.
The Saudi officials confirmed the missile was destroyed in the air and the shattered fragments landed into an unused area of the airport. Saudi officials further said that there were no casualties from the attack.
A spokesperson for the Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attack saying that they launched a Burkan 2-H missile with a range of more than 800km towards Riyadh. He said the attack at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport is a response to the continuous missile attacks from Saudi targeting Yemeni civilians.
