Arrest warrants issued on MPs Wimal Weerawansa and Jayantha Samaraweera

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe issued warrants today (March 19) for the arrests of National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansa and Jayantha Samaraweera and for them to be presented before the court. The warrants were issued when the two individuals failed to be present in court today (March 19) when the case pertaining to the fast unto death campaign that was launched by them on the 6th of February in 2016 was taken up for consideration.
