Raids to be conducted during festive season

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Consumer Affairs Authority says shops will be subjected to a special search in line with the upcoming festive season. The authority noted that investigative officers have been assigned to search wholesale stores and storing facilities, covering all districts. According to the authority, raids targetting retail stores will be carried out from April 1 to April 12. It further noted that mobile shops will also be subjected to a special search.
